Good lord this is a pretty glass of suds! Just got in a case of this rather hard to come by brew and am pleased as punch. And, speaking of punch this baby gives a Champagne like burst when opened from its slumber in its awesome flip top format. The color is of the purest copper, and a sticky head with gracious stick and lace adds to the very elegant picture. A real treasure to behold. Ahh, and the aromas here are pure magic-clean as a whistle with fresh bready/malty nuances, gentle fruity esters, and magestic hop notes to boot. The mouthfeel is clean and crisp-quite dry and the finish is rather hoppy. Is this the ultimate session beer or what? Them damn Germans know how to make beer. Honestly, I can’t think of a better beer for the style.
