A decent formula lager from the point, and one that many will certainly take a liking to as the taste/price ratio here in Chicago is pretty good. The color is of golden sraw. The head is marginal at best, though a moderate lace with a little stick does make an appearance. The aromas are rather simple with sweet malt and a bread like grainy note dominating-not much of a hop profile. Flavors favor the typical yellow fizz. The mouthfeeel is crisp. A sweet grainy flavor that resembles rye or caraway leads the charge, while a very, very, very, very limited appearance is made by the hopster. A tad bit of that Wisconsin, cheap beer funk surfaces as the beer warms. All in all a fair glass of swill.
