The beer pours a deep, murky honeyed golden and offers good, thick head and sticky lace that has fine retention. Aromas border sweet with strong malt, golden caramel, and some fruity and floral elements as well. The alcohol is quite pronounced in aroma and mouthfeel. In fact, the alcohol is a bit much, and throws off the balance of the beer for my taste. Flavors are big and bold with fruity flavors, and malt extract driving through the strong alcohol presence. This is a sipper, and like all products from this brewery, a beer to be respected….trust me.
