Tasted this today. Saison Dupont is “The” standard bearer when it comes to Saison. The beer is a world classic. The Foret, is a more mildly hoppy version, though it features a snappy citric hop quality in both aroma and flavor. It is more textured than the classic and sports an almost creamy viscosity. This is an example of what Belgium hops can deliver. They are often more subdued and less in your face. The bitter from the hops here is complemented by what I would consider in the wine world as fruit ripeness. This makes them brilliant for food pairings. A well respected beer buyer here in the Boston area picks this beer as his Thanksgiving go to. Mix it up this year! Recommended! Also superb with lighter seafood preparations.
