This one goes out to my best buddy! My 7 year old Sous Chef Daughter- Madeline. She is always ready to tackle the next project in the kitchen. She comes equipped with quite the passion, and I amazed at how much she has learned in her short years on this earth. She has been watching, observing, and learning about food, wine, and beer since she could walk. Recently, I took her for a trip to the Allagash brewery in her home town of Portland, Maine, and upon smelling the Allagash White she said to me, “I’m smelling orange and spice Daddy!” She’s got the nose and she knows! She loves her music too! Currently she is obsessed with Elvis. This was the first song I heard the day my girl was born. I was leaving the hospital in downtown Chicago on a hot and sticky July, 2nd, 2002, and was hit by a horse drawn carriage on Michigan avenue as this one was playing! I love Iris, and this song will live forever in my heart. I love you Madeline! This is for you. “Let The Mystery Be.”
